PIFs Making a Return

Lately there has been a lot of buzz around the Pooled Income Funds (PIF) and how they are currently making a comeback as a planned giving tool. They “have been around for a long time and, until recently, fallen out of favor. Perhaps because interest and dividend rates have been at historical lows for several years and because most PIFs were established some years ago, the combination of low return and low tax deduction reduced the broad appeal. Recently, though, the tide seems to have turned, with savvy practitioners establishing new funds to take advantage of current low AFRs,” writes Randy Fox a Planned Giving Design Center e-article in March 2015.

We can help your nonprofit offer PIFs to your donors through the National Pooled Income Fund Blog Image 1(NPIF), our strategic partner.
